Biography

Mr Page graduated from Clare College, University of Cambridge and was subsequently awarded a national trainee number in postgraduate training in cardiothoracic surgery at Royal Papworth Hospital. He was actively involved in some of the early pioneering research underpinning the DCD Heart Transplant Programme and its translation to clinical practice.

He received training in aortic dissection, aortic arch surgery, pericardiectomy and redo surgery. Upon completing his training he was appointed as a substantive cardiac surgery and transplant consultant in 2024 at Harefield Hospital in London. He currently sits on the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons subcommittees for adult cardiac surgery and transplantation.


Research

Mr Page maintains a research interest in clinical transplantation and ex situ heart perfusion and is well published most recently in the field of DCD heart transplantation.

He is the surgical education lead at Harefield Hospital and actively contributes to the evidence behind surgical education in the UK.
