We have been treating skin conditions for over 150 years at St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s Hospital.
As one of the world’s leading centres for skin care and the largest clinical dermatology department in the UK, our experts treat a range of skin conditions. These include common ones like acne and those that are rare and require treatment that is not available elsewhere.
We’re also internationally recognised for research and training, advancing care in this field and sharing our knowledge with dermatologists from across the world for the benefit of all patients.

Laser treatments for skin conditions
We use the latest laser technologies to treat birthmarks, moles, cysts and scars. This enables us to provide treatment for any skin tone.
We tailor the laser choice and are able to penetrate through the top layer of melanin (skin pigment), reducing the chances of reactionary hyperpigmentation (darkening of skin) that other mainstream lasers can cause in darker skin tones.
