Our Well Baby service provides expert support, assessment and treatment for babies from birth, helping parents manage feeding, development and common health concerns with confidence. Our specialist team offers reassurance and practical guidance, with access to care when your baby needs it.
Through the Well Baby service, you can access expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including feeding and weaning difficulties, reflux, asthma and other common childhood concerns. Where needed, we provide direct access to specialist services, including paediatric plastic surgery, offering treatments such as birthmark removal, correction of prominent ears and children’s hand surgery.
The Well Baby service is delivered by experienced paediatric specialists at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, providing personalised care within a leading children’s healthcare setting.

Our world-leading team of children’s clinicians and specialists includes:
- a consultant general paediatrician
- a feeding specialist (dietitian and lactation consultant)
- a consultant paediatric plastic surgeon
Where appropriate, appointments can be arranged consecutively, providing a seamless, efficient experience and truly comprehensive care.
Working in close partnership with leading specialists across Evelina London, we ensure swift access to additional expertise and onward referral whenever required.

Ms Michaela Smith
Michaela is a specialist infant feeding and lactation consultant, providing expert breastfeeding support for new mothers.
Her practice includes expressing and bottle‑feeding assessments, alongside specialist care for infants and children with:
- acid reflux
- cow’s milk protein allergy
- growth concerns
- tongue tie
She also offers guidance on infant weaning.
Dr Marie White
Marie is a consultant general paediatric consultant and head of service at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
She specialises in managing general childhood conditions including:
- asthma
- constipation
- coughs and wheezes
- cow’s milk protein allergy
- growth concerns
- acid reflux
- urinary tract infections
Mr Simon Filson
Simon is a consultant plastics surgeon and the clinical lead of paediatric reconstructive and plastic surgery at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
He performs a range of treatments including:
- removal of moles, lesions, cysts, lipomas, warts and birthmarks
- scar correction/revision
- prominent ear correction
- children’s hand surgery (extra fingers, fused fingers, trigger fingers etc)
- gynaecomastia removal (excision/liposuction)

Infant feeding group workshops
Expert-led virtual workshops covering all aspects of newborn feeding, designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to nourish your baby. Sessions are led by one of our specialist clinicians.

These sessions are open to both expectant and new parents alike. The workshops run monthly, starting on the first Friday of the month at 5:30pm.
