Dr Alexander Tindale is a interventional cardiologist who specialises in all aspects of general cardiology, with subspecialist expertise in coronary intervention.

Biography
Dr Tindale studied Natural Sciences at Emmanuel College, Cambridge before graduating in Medicine from Imperial College London with multiple distinctions in 2013.
He trained in Cardiology in North-West London, predominantly at Harefield Hospital, before undertaking fellowships in coronary and structural intervention at Harefield and Hammersmith Hospitals from 2023-2025. He was appointed as a consultant cardiologist in May 2025.
During his training he completed his PhD at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, entitled “Optimising haemodynamics in Cardiac Critical Care”. He also has a degree in business management and finance from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
At Harefield he is part of the 24/7 emergency heart attack service with a special interest in coronary angioplasty, cardiogenic shock and mechanical circulatory support, in addition to the management and treatment of valvular heart disease.
Research
Dr Alexander Tindale’s research focusses on the application of quantitative methods to the optimisation of haemodynamics in cardiac critical care, ranging from pacemaker optimisation to the identification and treatment of patients with cardiogenic shock. He has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications including in the European Heart Journal.
He is currently running research projects looking at the risk stratification in cardiogenic shock and innovative devices to assist with the early identification of aortic stenosis. He is the lead for audit and research for junior doctors at Harefield Hospital.
