Dr Tiffany Patterson is a consultant cardiologist in structural and coronary intervention at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust and adjunct reader in structural heart disease and Kings College London.

She is an experienced high volume TAVI and TEER operator, is a proctor, and performs live case educational transmissions at international conferences. She has personally performed the largest number of CE marked tricuspid valve replacements in the UK and a high volume of mitral valve replacement.


Dr Patterson expanded the aortic programme at St Thomas Hospital, establishing the mitral and tricuspid programme to deliver cutting edge devices and treatments to patients across the UK and was awarded Safer in their Hands and runner up for a Trust Care Commendation award.

She is on the Women’s Clinical Advisory Committee for Heart Valve Voice Charity increasing awareness of heart valve disease.

She has been awarded more than 2.5 million pounds of independent charitable funds for research into heart disease and has published two major guideline changing randomised control trials. She was awarded the prestigious Josephine Lansdell Award for research into heart disease and recently a British Heart Foundation award to supervise a PhD predicting the response to tricuspid valve replacement. She has supervised an MD and four PhDs.
