Biography
Mr Manasvi Upadhyaya is a consultant neonatal and paediatric surgeon who has achieved numerous qualifications in children’s surgery internationally.
After completing his medical training in Mumbai, India in 1998, Manasvi completed further training as a senior registrar in Perth, Australia. He undertook his formal training in Paediatric Surgery and was awarded the gold medal from the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, 2011. Manasvi joined the National Training Programme in Cardiff after which he spent two years in Cardiff, two in Bristol, a year in Birmingham and a year as a laparoscopic fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
Research
Manasvi has a clinical interest in feeding difficulties in children and upper gastrointestinal disorders.
He is an instructor on the basic surgical skills course organised by the Welsh Institute of Mimimal Access Therapy (WIMAT).
