Clinical expertise

Dr Jane Heraghty is a consultant in respiratory and general paediatrics, managing children with a range of respiratory conditions, including:

  • cough
  • wheeze
  • recurrent infections
  • sleep-disordered breathing

As a parent herself, she understands the difficulties managing the problems of infections, coughing and sleep issues.

She performs treatments including sleep studies and flexible bronchoscopies.



Biography

Jane Heraghty qualified in London in 1999. She trained in paediatrics and paediatric respiratory medicine in London, Bristol and Cardiff before coming to work as a consultant at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital in 2010, where she established the paediatric respiratory service. Since she started, the service has raised funds for a paediatric long-term ventilation ward which opened in 2016.

  • trained in London, Bristol and Cardiff including research at the University of Bristol
