Emma O’Malley is a registered genetic counsellor who works alongside the UK’s leading cardiologists and geneticists in the field of inherited cardiac conditions.
She has specialist expertise in:
- sudden cardiac death
- cardiomyopathy
- inherited arrhythmia
- whole genome sequencing
- non-syndromic paediatric cardiac conditions
She offers pre-test and post-test genetic counselling via virtual consultations.
Biography
Emma O’Malley graduated with a BSc in Medical Genetics, she then went on to complete MRes in evolutionary genomics and a MSc in genomic counselling. Following this, she completed the highly competitive NHS scientist training programme.
She trained alongside a very experienced inherited cardiac conditions team in Leeds and is currently based at Royal Brompton Hospital.
