Evelina London is home to multiple clinical specialities with access to extensive expertise and technology.
Our dedicated Sky cardiology unit offers innovative technology to perform the latest imaging techniques, advanced cardiology treatments, diagnostics, cardiac catheterisation and surgery to treat the most complex cases.
Our expert paediatric cardiologists and fetal cardiology specialists diagnose and treat a range of children’s heart problems including:
- congenital heart disease (present from birth)
- acquired heart disease (develops after birth)
- heart rhythm disturbances – arrhythmia, heart murmurs
- palpitations
- hypertension
- syncope
Our children’s ENT service is one of the largest specialist teams in the UK. Our paediatric ENT specialists offer treatments for common conditions and complex airway surgery including:
- adenoids, tonsils and grommets
- ear infections, ear surgery, hearing implant surgery/ aids
- airway, breathing and voice problems
- sleep apnoea
- nose and sinus conditions
Our paediatric surgeons see children for a range of colorectal, upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions as well as general childhood conditions requiring surgery including:
- hernia repair (inguinal, umbilical hernia surgery)
- removal of digits
- circumcision
- bowel disease/ surgery (including Hirschsprung’s disease, anorectal malformations, constipation and inflammatory bowel disease)
- pilonidal sinus surgery
- swallowing and feeding difficulties, gastro-esophageal reflux

Our plastic surgery service is one of the largest, providing a range of treatment for birthmarks, moles and cysts, as well as scar management. Our paediatric plastic surgeons see children with various conditions including:
- skin lesions, moles, cysts and tumours
- scarring and birthmarks (keloids, port-wine stain)
- ear correction and surgery
- male breasts (gynaecomastia)
- hand and upper limb deformities
- neurofibromatosis
- chest wall disorders
- facial nerve palsy
Our dedicated children’s urology service provides specialist care for children with kidney, bladder and genitalia problems. Our paediatric urologist provide care for:
- bladder problems
- urinary tract infections (UTIs), incontinence, urinary reflux
- undescended testis, swelling, hypospadias and hydrocele
- foreskin problems (balanitis, phimosis, circumcision)
- posterior urethral valves
- kidney problems including dilations, hydronephrosis and cystic kidneys

Our new purpose-built unit houses everything needed for children’s day surgery in one family-friendly space.
From pre-surgery checks and the operation to recovery and preparing to go home, your child’s surgery can be done in the same place, on the same day.
With short-notice appointments for private paediatric surgery, you can get fast, easy access to our world-renowned paediatric specialists. Whether it’s a consultation to seek an expert opinion, diagnostic testing or to book a treatment – children can return home sooner after day surgery.
