Mrs Susana Morley is a consultant ophthalmologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals where she has been a consultant for 11 years. She is the lead oculoplastic surgeon providing oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital services to patients across London and the south east of England.
She treats a range of eye conditions including:
- entropion/ectopion (eyelid malposition)
- watery eyes
- eyelid spasms
- orbital tumours
- ptosis (droopy eyelids)
- facial palsy
- thyroid eye disease and orbital masses
- eye trauma
- eyelid twitching (blepharospasm)
- eyelid lumps including tumours and skin cancers
She performs treatments including:
- cosmetic eyelid surgery including blepharoplasty (eye/eyelid lift) to both the upper and lower eyelids, as well as eyebrow lifts and periocular Botox
- eye lid and eye socket reconstructive surgery
- peri-ocular tumour management
- lacrimal (tear duct) surgery

Biography
Mrs Susana Morley specialises in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. She is also an integral member of the nationally commissioned xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) service, providing ophthalmic care as part of the wider clinical team.
Having obtained a triple first from the University of Cambridge in preclinical studies, she completed her clinical medical school training at the University of Oxford. During this Susana spent two years undergoing laboratory research in the field of ultraviolet and infrared damage to the eye.
She completed her ophthalmology training from several of the UK’s best oculoplastic centers including St Thomas’ Hospital, Moorfield’s Eye Hospital with Mr Richard Collin and the specialist oculoplastic unit at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
Research
Susana is the training programme director for south London ophthalmology and also maintains a significant academic profile with over 40 peer-reviewed publications as well as two textbook chapters.
She continues to maintain a strong academic interest with more recent work on thyroid eye disease, periocular reconstruction and rejuvenation, and xeroderma pigmentosum.
