Ms Deborah Bruce is a consultant gynaecologist who specialises in menopause.

She regularly treats patients with conditions such as:

  • menopause
  • early menopause
  • heavy/painful periods
  • fibroids
  • polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • endometriosis/adenomyosis
  • pelvic pain

She performs treatments such as:

  • well women check
  • menopause management/hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
  • subfertility initial investigations
  • general gynaecology medical management


Biography

Ms Deborah Bruce is a esteemed consultant gynaecologist who specialises in non-surgical treatments for women’s health including menopause.

She undertook her training in the South-West Thames region, and received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 for hormone replacement therapy and cardiovascular disease. She completed her training in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2010.

Ms Bruce has been a consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ since 2009 and became the lead for menopause services in 2023. She was appointed as a consultant gynaecologist and senior lecturer at King’s College London in 2011, and was appointed as Director of clinical practice in 2018. Currently she is a deputy dean and a programme director at the University of Surrey’s School of Medicine.


Research

Her dedication to menopause care and research has been widely published. Ms Bruce is one of the first menopause specialists for the British Menopause Council, for which she has served as a council member for two terms. Deborah has also partaken in several national and international trials.
