Biography

Dr Malaczynska-Rajpold earned her medical degree and completed her cardiology training in Poznan, Poland, with an initial focus on pulmonary circulation. Her interests later shifted towards cardiac arrhythmias during her PhD research, which ignited her passion for cardiac electrophysiology, leading her to further specialise in this field at Royal Brompton Hospital in London. In 2018, she was a visiting fellow at the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain, under Prof. Lluis Mont.

Since 2022, Dr Malaczynska-Rajpold has served as a consultant electrophysiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital.

Research

Dr Malaczynska-Rajpold’s PhD research examined three-dimensional cardiac MRI reconstructions of post-infarction scar as a substrate for ventricular tachycardia and she has been involved in developing a very successful program of conduction system pacing.

Publications

Dr Malaczynska-Rajpold has published various articles and presented at national and international conferences. She is actively involved in the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), having served as the chair of the Young EP Committee and a member of the EHRA Board in the years 2020-2024; she is currently co-chairing the National Cardiac Societies Committee.
