Dr Jason Dunn is the clinical lead for endoscopy at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. He specialises in gastroenterology including upper gastrointestinal and digestive conditions.

Biography
Dr Jason Dunn is a consultant gastroenterologist and has practiced at Guy’s and St Thomas’ since 2012.
He set up the regional Endotherapy Centre at St Thomas’ Hospital for South East region including Kent, Surrey and Sussex and is the early diagnosis lead for the London Cancer Alliance (LCA).
Jason graduated from GKT School of Medical Education at King’s College London in 2000. He was awarded MRCP(UK) from the Royal College of Physicians in 2005 and a Cancer Research UK clinical fellowship at University College London (UCL) in 2007. He received his PhD from University College London in 2011 and was named an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London in 2015.
Research
Dr Jason Dunn’s research on the treatment of Barrett’s oesophagus with radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and the use of biomarkers to predict cancer progression, has won a number of awards. He has written guidelines for the management of Barrett’s oesophagus for the LCA.
Dr Jason Dunn has presented his work at national and international meetings. He has published on novel endoscopic techniques for treatment of globus secondary to the cervical inlet patch. He started a follow-up randomised trial in 2018.
He holds honorary senior lecturer posts at King’s College London and Oslo University in the Institute of Medical Informatics.
Dr Dunn also has an interest in Nutrition, specialising in parenteral nutrition in oncology/palliative care and PEG tube insertion.
Dr Dunn is the research lead for the Oesophageal Section of the British Society of Gastroenterology. He is an advisor to NICE and medical advisor to Action against Heartburn, a patient support charity.
