Biography
Mr Con Kelleher day to day work is highly multidisciplinary, working alongside a team of midwives, neonatologists, anaesthetists, and physiotherapists. This enables him to offer comprehensive maternity care, supporting mother’s throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond. His patient’s outcomes and health benefit from the excellence of the team that he works with as well as his invaluable expertise.
He qualified from King’s College Hospital School of Medicine, London and completed his training in obstetrics and gynaecology at King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, among others.
Research
Mr Con Kelleher has published a number of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on the topic of urinary incontinence and quality of life, and has presented the results of his studies both nationally and internationally.
He completed a research fellowship in urogynaecology at King’s College Hospital under the supervision of Professor Linda Cardozo. During his MD thesis on assessing the impact of urinary incontinence on the quality of life of women. During the course of his research he enrolled more than 1,000 women into the study, culminating in the design and validation of a condition specific quality-of-life questionnaire, the King’s Health Questionnaire. This instrument is now used worldwide to assess the quality of life of women with urinary symptoms in both clinical trials and clinical practice.
