Biography

Azar obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in obstetrics and gynaecology in April 2010. In 2011, he went on to complete a fellowship in Australia which complemented his general training in urogynaecology, and introduced him to the application of imaging in urogynaecology.
In 2013, Azar completed the sub-specialty training programme in urogynaecology at University College London Hospital. This post provided him with the experience of advanced laparoscopic surgery and its application in urogynaecology. He began working as a locum consultant urogynaecologist at St George’s Hospital in 2013 which allowed him to successfully and safely introduce laparoscopic urogynaecology there.
