We also have a new state-of-the-art Children’s Day Surgery Unit, which was opened in 2023 by Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales, who is Evelina London’s Royal Patron. It will enable 2,300 more children and young people to receive day surgery procedures each year.

Experts in children’s heart and lung care

Our children’s fetal cardiology, heart care, lung care and sleep medicine services are provided across Evelina London Children’s Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital. In addition to the world-leading expertise in children’s care provided at Evelina London, Royal Brompton is recognised as one of the world’s best for heart and lung care.

Our fetal cardiology service is the largest and most established in the UK, managing 2,000 pregnancies each year for the diagnosis of congenital heart disease. With our expertise in complex children’s cardiac surgery, we can provide vital treatment soon after birth if needed.

Specialist care for mother and baby

Westminster Maternity Suite at St Thomas’ is at the same location as Evelina London, allowing us to offer comprehensive private care for both mother and baby.

Our neonatal unit at Evelina London is one of the largest in England, enabling us to care for over 1,000 babies each year. It includes our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), special care baby unit (SCNU), and high dependency unit (HDU). Working together, we can provide 24-hour specialist care for premature and critically ill babies with high dependency needs, including those with heart, lung and neurological conditions.

Supporting international patients

We welcome patients from around the world. Our Arabic speaking international team provides language support and interpretation services. We accommodate for spiritual and religious requirements as well as cultural and dietary needs.

Our team works closely with embassy colleagues, international referrers and government bodies to offer bespoke healthcare packages and support for letters of guarantee to ensure patients are well informed about every aspect of their care.
