Dr Heng has a special interest in structural and adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) interventional minimally invasive procedures. She is a key member of the ACHD and specialist structural heart team at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals and performs highly complex percutaneous (keyhole) valvular interventions such as MitraClip, TriClip, TAVI, patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defect (ASD) closures and percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valve replacement.
During her time with the team, they have been awarded the first-in-the-world Centre of Excellence for MitraClip, a percutaneous repair for a leaking mitral valve. Dr Heng and the team actively participate in novel therapy trials to expand the portfolio of treatments available for her patient group.
Dr Heng’s areas of expertise include:
- right heart catheterisation
- coronary angiography
- mitral valve disease and intervention
- MitraClip/PASCAL (MV TEER)
